The stair app

Projects, 3D geometry, measurement records, photos, notes and recoverable drafts are stored locally on your device. The app does not automatically upload them to us. Device backups may include app data, depending on your Apple settings. You can delete projects and drafts in the app and export your project files. Exported copies must be deleted wherever you shared or saved them.

The app does not use advertising tracking. You may manually share technical error codes without project content. Online services may process necessary security and operational logs.

Professional portal

Staircase3D stores account information, listing content, unit prices and currency, selected market areas and billing references needed to provide the professional listing service.

Location

The iOS app may use a device coordinate to identify a market area. The coordinate is used for the lookup and is not stored in the marketplace database.

Sharing with professionals

You can open a professional's website without sharing the staircase. Only explicit sharing adds dimensions, staircase options and quantities to the website URL. The complete editable input for all levels is temporarily stored encrypted, with a retrieval URL that expires after one hour. Expired rows are cleaned up every minute. Project names, photos, notes, archived parts and 3D meshes are excluded. The recipient is responsible for subsequent processing; consult their privacy policy.

Anyone holding the retrieval URL can access it while it remains valid. URLs may appear in browser history and necessary operational logs. To prevent abuse, we temporarily store a one-way IP hash, listing identifier and timing metadata with the encrypted share.

Payments

Editing-access purchases in the iOS app are processed by Apple. The app reads Apple-verified transactions to determine access and does not store payment-card details. Professional listing payments on the web portal are handled separately by Stripe. The portal stores Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, not payment-card details.
